Eagles fans go berserk celebrating in Philadelphia

Philadelphia Eagles fans have gone berserk in the city while celebrating their team's drought-breaking Super Bowl LII victory over the New England Patriots.

The Eagles won an entertaining and high-scoring affair 41-33 for their first championship since 1960 -- and first since the Super Bowl was introduced in 1967.

Millions of fans descended on the likes of Broad St and other prominent Philadelphia streets to celebrate the title... by doing anything they could.

Some fans climbed street poles. Others stole street poles out of the ground.

One jumped onto the Ritz-Carlton hotel's awning... and others joined him. And then it broke.

Others climbed on cars and hung out windows, but most were just mingling with their friends and family -- and what looked like a fair bit of alcohol.

It's fair to say the damage bill will be high, with hundreds of thousands of fans still out beyond 1am.

The city will announce the championship parade details on Monday local time.

The Philadelphia Phillies' 2008 MLB title celebration brought a reported two million fans, though that number has been disputed.

It might not be in question come the Eagles' festivities.
