'Makes me sick': NFL star slammed by Instagram model

Instagram model Karen Villarreal has taken a shot at NFL star Le'Veon Bell after he messaged her on Instagram.

Villarreal, who has over a million followers, said she felt "sick" after receiving a message of admiration from the two-time Pro Bowler who became a father earlier this year.

The model from San Antonio shared a series of thoughts via her Instagram story, detailing the incident.

Bell, the 25-year-old running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers, missed practice in January ahead of the AFC Championship Game to attend the birth of his first child.

Villarreal clearly believes Bell shouldn't be flirting over Instagram and should instead be loyal to the child's mother Mercedes Dollson.

It is not known whether Bell and Dollson are still in a relationship, however the pair are not married.

"Didn't he just have a baby with a beautiful girl?!" Vi said.

"I will never understand why dudes or athletes, especially those with gf's even TRY. Truly makes me sick."

Villarreal herself is an impressive athlete, often sharing videos of her insane gym routines to her favourite social media platform.

This incident comes just days after NBA superstar Kristaps Porzingis copped the ultimate rejection from another model on Instagram.

The seven-foot-three Latvian left a heart-eyes emoji on the account of Croatian model Ines Nikic, but didn't get the response he was hoping for.

Nikic posted an image of herself kissing what appears to be her boyfriend, alongside the caption, "@kporzee (Kristaps Porzingis) who? Are you sleeping peacefully Kristaps Porzingis?"

Ouch.
