Young fans outwit security, sneak into Super Bowl

Four young fans managed to sneak into Super Bowl LI posing as maintenance workers, documenting their epic antics on social media.

For many American sports fans attending the Super Bowl is the pinnacle, but with ticket prices averaging around AU$7000, getting to the game sometimes remains a pipe dream.

The most expensive tickets to this year's showpiece game were just under AU$100,000, making what these kids achieved all the more incredible.

The four lads pretended to be workers and gained access to NRG Stadium for free, using a ladder they found on the side of the road as a their key prop.

"You're important if you have a ladder," one of them told TMZ Sports, who caught up with them during the game.

The security lapse will certainly be a bit of a slap in the face to event organisers, with the FBI stating before the game that they'd been planning for three years.
