Kaepernick cops vicious abuse in Buffalo

Anthem protester Colin Kaepernick has endured some vile abuse during the San Francisco 49er's road game at Buffalo.

In a Rust Belt city, against a team whose coach openly supports Donal Trump, the polarising quarterback was never going to have an easy time in his first game starting this year.

Kaepernick has been protesting police brutality against black people in America by either sitting or kneeling during the anthem.

Much of the hatred he was copping in Buffalo was documented on Twitter, particularly as Bills fans enjoyed their pre-game tailgate.

When Kaepernick did eventually take the field, the abuse certainly didn't stop.

Bills fans screamed "your parents don't even like you" as he ran on the field.

Then as he prepared to take a knee for the national anthem, they began chanting "USA, USA, USA."

However it wasn't all bad news for Kaepernick, he scored his first touchdown of the season with this deep throw.
