Sacked NFL star beats 70-year-old up with his cane

Tight end Bruce Miller has been charged with seven felonies after assaulting a 70-year-old man, allegedly with his own cane, and the elderly man's son.

The 29-year-old was reportedly inebriated at the time after being cut by the San Francisco 49ers.

Surveillance video showed Miller bloody and inebriated at the time of the attack at the Fisherman's Wharf Hotel.

Miller was reportedly attempting to enter a hotel room that was not his and was occupied by his two victims.

Both of his victims had to be taken to hospital with injuries.

Miller's full list of charges includes: one count of assault with a deadly weapon, not a firearm (the alleged weapon is a cane); one count of assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury; one count of inflicting injury on an elder or dependent adult likely to cause great bodily injury and one count of battery with serious bodily injury.

Miller reportedly also got into an argument over a brisket sandwich a few hours before the assault.

Miller was out of custody on $178,000 bail.
