Incredible trick-play for game-winning touchdown

When you really want to beat Texas, you pull out all the stops.

That's what Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury did yesterday when he called a fake victory formation with nearly three minutes remaining.

The Red Raiders, who were up 41-38 at the point, pretended to kneel down while receiver Jakeem Grant, one of the team’s smallest players, emerged from the pile with the ball.

He ran to the left side and down the sideline 40 yards untouched for the touchdown.

What was most baffling about the play was Texas falling for it in the first place, especially with two timeouts remaining.

The score actually ended up being the game-winning points for Texas Tech, which allowed Texas to score on the next possession. The Red Raiders recovered an onside kick and then did a real kneel down to end the game.
