Indianapolis Colts were left red-faced with a failed play seeing their quarterback sacked within seconds.

Whilst playing against the New England Patriots, the Colts tried to fool the Pats with an unusual formation on a fourth-and-three punt on their own 37-yard line.

Majority of the offensive line rushed to one side leaving snap-taker Griff Whalen and acting quarterback Colt Anderson stranded.

When Anderson took the snap the visitors easily regained the ball, which later led to a touchdown.

The Patriots went on to record a 34-27 victory.
