NFL free agent rumors: Ndamukong Suh gets ‘biggest’ offer from Jets

Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is adding the Jets to the mix since they are bringing the biggest offer.

Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has received interest from several teams since his release from the Dolphins earlier this month, but it appears he's adding a new team to the mix since the Jets are coming in with the biggest offer.

Yahoo Sports first reported that the Jets have emerged as a serious contender to land the 31-year-old even though they weren't one of the three teams that met with him earlier this week. NFL.com later reported that the Jets have made the "biggest offer," adding, "Suh would have to take less to go to the other teams … which he may do." Suh hasn't arranged a visit with the Jets yet.

He already has visited the Titans, Saints and Rams. The Raiders also showed interest, but Suh canceled a visit with them earlier this week.

While there may be more money for Suh with the Jets, he will have to make a decision about whether this late in his career he wants to join a team that is considered to be rebuilding.

Suh was a three-time All-Pro in five seasons with the Lions before signing a six-year, $114 million contract with Miami in 2015. He had 15.5 sacks in three seasons with the Dolphins and has made just one Pro Bowl since 2014.
