NFL free agent rumors: Dolphins sign RB Frank Gore to 1-year deal

The Miami native, who joined the Dolphins on a one-year deal, has eclipsed 1,000 yards rushing nine times throughout his 13-year career.

Frank Gore is going home.

The 13-year veteran running back on Thursday agreed to a one-year contract with the Dolphins, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported.

A Miami native and University of Miami standout, Gore visited the Lions last week but left Detroit without a deal.

Gore, who turns 35 in May, was selected by the 49ers with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2005 NFL draft and remained in San Francisco until he joined the Colts in 2015. He has eclipsed 1,000 yards rushing nine times throughout his career and last rushed for 1,000 yards in 2016 with the Colts.

He rushed for 961 yards and three touchdowns with Indianapolis last season.
