NFL Draft: Top CB Sidney Jones vows to play this season after Achilles surgery

Don't rule out seeing Sidney Jones on an NFL field this season.

The former Washington cornerback underwent successful surgery on his torn Achilles Tuesday and received a positive diagnosis. According to ESPN, Jones should be running again in four months.

Jones also tweeted about his prognosis and seemed game to bounce back to his normal self.

Potential first-rounder Sidney Jones leaves Washington pro day on cart

Jones was doing drills at Washington's pro day on March 11 when he tore his Achilles. He was forced to leave the facility on a cart, and the injury left many to wonder where he would fall in next month's draft.

Considered a first-round pick before the injury, Jones' positive diagnosis shouldn't impact his draft stock too much if his recovery is as quick as the doctor says. If he falls into the second round, any team that scoops him up will be getting a steal.
