Japanese runner breaks world record on all fours

A Japanese athlete has broken the Guiness World Record for the 100m sprint – on all fours.

Kenichi Ito recently shaved more than a second off the world record covering the 100m gallop in 15.71 seconds.

Known as “the monkey man” due to his running style, footage has emerged of Kenichi beating the record of fellow Japanese athlete Katsumi Tamakoshi.

With two of the fastest men on all fours in the world, Japan will be hoping this event one day enters the Olympics.
