Steeplechaser tumbles head first into water jump

Panamanian runner Rolanda Bell has caused quite a splash at the IAAF world championships – tumbling head first into the water jump.

She was competing in the 3000m women's steeplechase in Beijing when she misjudged the jump and landed head first in the water.

To her credit, the 27-year-old picked herself up to finish the heat, but unsurprisingly failed to qualify for the final.

Bell took to Twitter afterwards to update her fans:

"Thank you to Panama for all the support for our team this year", she wrote.
