A baby white-handed gibbon was seen bonding with his mother shortly after being born at the Philadelphia Zoo on March 14.The zoo said the gibbon was born “just before keepers arrived,” and he was continuing to nurse from his mom.According to the Philadelphia Zoo, white-handed gibbons are considered to be one of the most acrobatic animals “on the planet,” and are listed as an endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.Footage by Kory Aversa shows the tiny gibbon, named Eros, bonding with his mother.
