    Coastal Carolina athletic director Hogue, ex-football coach Moglia changing roles

    Coastal Carolina's Matt Hogue, in charge of the athletic department for the past 10 years, will move to a new role at the school this summer while former football coach Joe Moglia will give up his positions as chairman of athletics and executive director of football once the new athletic director is hired. The school announced Friday that Hogue will lead the school's development of a center for sports broadcasting. Coastal Carolina said in a statement a search for Hogue's successor as vice president for intercollegiate athletics and university recreation will begin immediately.

    Ex-Iowa offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz lands at Maryland as a senior offensive assistant

    Former Iowa offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz has joined the Maryland football staff, a spokesman for the Terrapins said Friday. Ferentz, the son of Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz, is a senior offensive assistant and does not count as one of the 10 on-field coaches.

    Pac-12 players to watch as the conference gets ready to splinter across the country

    The Pac-12 will splinter apart before fall camp starts, with all but two teams heading to new conferences. One of the highest-rated recruits in program history two years ago, McMillan has lived up to the hype. The 6-foot-5 receiver from Hawaii finished with 90 catches for 1,402 yards and 10 TDs last season.
