Married couples rarely forget the moment they got engaged, but for one American pair, it was extra special.

The loved up couple shared the incredible moment NBA legend Dwyane Wade photobombed their engagement pictures by accident.

Three-time NBA champion Wade was strolling along the beach with a friend when he was snapped in the background of the couple's special photo shoot.

The pictures were shared by ryanbasch on Instagram.

In the first photo, Wade can be seen in the background reacting to the engagement, with his mouth wide open and his hand on his heart.

The bride-to-be had obviously gotten wind of the situation as she is seen laughing hysterically in the corner of the shot.

The second picture in the post is a close up of Wade's reaction, with the Miami Heat legend looking genuinely moved by the couple's once-a-lifetime moment.

Wade was such a good sport that he can be seen posing with the lovebirds in the next snap - something they can brag about until they're old and grey.

The NBA legend's next move just makes the story even better.

Wade later Instagrammed about the moment, telling the couple it was "dope to witness you guys" during their special moment.

That’s quite the story for the couple to tell their friends and family.

The only thing that would make it better is if Wade somehow appeared during their wedding.

Stranger things have happened.
