NBA Betting: Mavericks tipped for Brooklyn Nets upset

There are 12 games slated for today to pick through to keep the winning week going, after landing a 4-1 spot yesterday. There’s a lot to digest.

Dallas Mavericks @ Brooklyn Nets

Fresh off Kyrie Irving’s 60 point game, the Nets host Dallas, without Kyrie Irving. It’s a back to back for Brooklyn, they have no Irving, Ben Simmons, or LaMarcus Aldridge and Dallas is good.

I think I feel best about taking Dallas straight up to win, which is paying $1.67 on TAB.

Best bet: Straight up - Dallas at $1.67

Chicago Bulls @ Utah Jazz

Chicago has struggled a lot against good teams and now they are in the middle of a West Coast road trip against a good Jazz squad. The margin reflects that, but I’m not sure seven points is enough for the Bulls to stay close to.

Best bet: Handicap betting - Jazz -7

Atlanta Hawks @ Charlotte Hornets

It doesn’t take much to score six points - just three dunks, or in Mason Plumlee’s case, 10 free throw attempts. But, all Plumlee needs to go over his points line is six. The line is juiced to $2.00 for over 5.5 points on Sportsbet, and I like those odds.

Best bet: Player points - Plumlee over 5.5

New York Knicks @ Portland Trail Blazers

Julius Randle has been playing much better of late and it’s not like I worry too much about the Knicks pulling their staters if this is a blowout. So, I am focusing on Randle’s rebound line, set at 10.5.

The last game was rough for Randle, getting just four rebounds and he hasn’t quite been at his best, but he has the size advantage against Portland and I like he goes over that mark, which pays $2.06 on Sportsbet.

Best bet: Player rebounds - Randle over 10.5

Boston Celtics @ Golden State Warriors

The last time I went for this, it didn’t pan out, but I am going back again. It’s time to look at Klay Thompson’s assist line, set at 2.5 once more. I think his improved passing gets him over that, so let’s go over, which is paying $2.30 on TAB.

Best bet: Player assists - Thompson over 2.5
