Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks have had a tough start to the NBA season under new coach Jason Kidd.

After a great 6-0 day Monday, it’s time to look again to see if there is value in the NBA betting market.

Denver Nuggets @ Utah Jazz

The Nuggets and Jazz are both very good teams, and yes, Denver is going to be trying very hard to avenge an embarrassing home loss to the Cavs yesterday, but Utah is very good.

One of the hardest back to backs to travel to is heading to Salt Lake City on the second night of that back to back (travelling to Denver is up there too) and a rested Jazz team at home should handle Denver.

The spread is seven at Ladbrokes, which is good enough for me.

Best Bet: Handicap betting - Jazz -7

Houston Rockets @ Dallas Mavericks

The Rockets are far from the NBA’s best team, but they demolished the Thunder and were solid enough against the Celtics a couple of days ago, losing by 10.

They travel to Dallas and I do not trust Dallas under Jason Kidd. So, seeing an 11 point spread at Sportsbet ($1.87) makes me very interested to take the Rockets to cover.

Best Bet: Handicap betting - Rockets +11

Los Angeles Lakers @ San Antonio Spurs

LeBron James was initially listed as questionable with his ankle injury, which was upgraded to probable, but has now been downgraded to questionable.

The market has reacted bringing the Lakers from a 4.5 point favourite into a 2.5 point favourite.

If LeBron does get ruled out, this will come in further, but you also run the risk that if LeBron plays, it blows back out.

I was comfortable taking the Lakers -4.5 with LeBron anyway, so seeing them at -2.5 with a chance LeBron plays, I will snap it up.

Even if he is out, I believe the Lakers can still beat the Spurs and cover, but there is more risk there. Get it for -2.5 at Ladbrokes ($1.87).

I also like the look of Keldon Johnson’s points market. It is set at 15.5 points, which he has smashed the last two games and scored 15 points in the one game he missed it.

While we are at it, Jakob Poeltl has been dishing assists for San Antonio. He has assist totals of 7,1, and 6 in his three games and on the day he got one assist, he had another four potential assists.

He is second on the Spurs in potential assists and in passes made per game. His assists over/under is set at 2.5 (over for $1.60). I will go over.

Best Bet: Handicap betting - Lakers -2.5

Best Bet: Player points - Keldon Johnson Over 15.5 Points

Best Bet: Player assists - Jakob Poeltl Over 2.5 Assists

Now, for something fun. I am going to try a big multi each time in these articles, just for fun.

Let’s put all of the above into it using Sportsbet odds: Poeltl Over 2.5 Assists, Johnson Over 15.5 Points, Lakers -2.5, Rockets +11, Jazz -7.5.

And then we'll add the following:

Andrew Wiggins Over 24.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists

Evan Fournier Over 14.5 Points

Alec Burks Under 10.5 Points

76ers +2.5

That gives us odds of $269.91.
