NBA betting: Paul George primed to clip the Pelicans wings
I didn’t like ending last week only going 2-3, so it’s time to correct as we head into the final week of the NBA’s regular season.
New Orleans Pelicans @ LA Clippers
The Pelicans have a lot to play for here, but with Paul George healthy on the other side, the Clippers have looked solid.

I think the two-point margin in favour of LA is probably a little lean, so they should be able to cover at home.
Best bet handicap - Clippers -2
Portland Trail Blazers @ San Antonio Spurs
The Blazers are the worst team in the league, by design, and San Antonio has a shot at the play-in still. Even if the Spurs weren’t trying they would still win this by double digits. The spread at 15 should be covered handily.
Best bet handicap - Spurs -15
Phoenix Suns @ Oklahoma City Thunder
With Deandre Ayton out, the centre minutes will go to JaVale McGee and Bismack Biyombo.
There is always a risk that Biyombo gets the bulk, but I think McGee is a target for his points, which are set at 12.5 points. The over is paying out at $1.87 on Sportsbet.
Best bet player points - McGee over 12.5
Golden State Warriors @ Sacramento Kings
In an effort to lose, the Kings are playing Trey Lyles big minutes. That his rebound line is set at just 6.5 is a bit odd for me, so let’s go over for $1.75 on TAB.
Best bet: player rebounds - Lyles over 6.5
Minnesota Timberwolves @ Houston Rockets
Jae’Sean Tate has the ability to get a lot of assists, but his role has been very different of late, struggling to even get two per game.
So, the line set at 2.5 is an interesting one. I think the ball won’t be in his hands enough to get to that number and the odds at TAB, of $2.05, are appealing enough to take the under.
Best bet player assists - Tate under 2.5
