NBA betting: Best bets for Monday's basketball action

Klay Thompson, pictured here in action for the Golden State Warriors.

Bad way to end last week going 2-3, but it’s a new week.

Only three games today, so let’s dive into these a bit deeper.

Golden State Warriors @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Without Steph Curry, the Warriors are not the same, while Minnesota is fully healthy and ready to cause some more damage.

The margin for the Wolves at home is just 4.5 points and it feels a little slim.

HUGE: Ben Simmons at centre of 'engagement' rumours

I know Steph is out, but Klay Thompson’s points line on TAB being 17.5 is just too high.

It is paying $1.75 to go under and with his inefficiency and minutes restriction, that seems likely.

Not sure why Otto Porter Jr.’s rebound number is at 7.5, when he hasn’t gone over that since December 23. So, let’s go under for $1.80.

We will also go to Andrew Wiggins. He is not a noted passer and even though the assists line is set at 2.5, I think the under at $2.05 provides value.

Best bet: Handicap betting - Wolves -4.5

Best bet: Player points - Thompson under 17.5

Best bet: Player rebounds - Porter under 7.5

Best bet: Player assists - Wiggins under 2.5

Houston Rockets @ Sacramento Kings

De’Aaron Fox has been quite inconsistent this season, but recently the scoring has been much better.

Despite his consistency issues, a line of 24.5 points seems reasonable considering Tyrese Haliburton and Marvin Bagley are out.

I will take over, and on TAB that is paying $1.85.

Best bet: Player points - Fox over 24.5

Best bet: Player rebounds - Nurkić over 9.5
