NBA betting: Best bets for all of Friday's basketball action

Giannis Antetokounmpo, pictured here in action for the Milwaukee Bucks.

A nice 3-2 result yesterday and now we attack Friday’s five games to see where we can gain an edge.

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Memphis Grizzlies

Two teams have been better than expectations, especially Memphis, riding the NBA’s best winning streak.

I think they keep it going today and I’ll take the straight win for $1.60 on TAB.

Best bet: Memphis to win

Portland Trail Blazers @ Denver Nuggets

The Blazers are woefully shorthanded, missing Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, Norman Powell and Anfernee Simons and now they take on Nikola Jokić.

The margin is set at 11 points and I don’t think it’s enough.

Saying that I still like Jusuf Nurkić to hit his rebound mark. It is at 9.5 and I think he can exceed 11 boards here as his minutes have been pushing up quite high of late.

Over 9.5 pays $1.85 on TAB.

Best bet: Handicap betting - Nuggets -11

Best bet: Player rebounds - Nurkić over 9.5

Golden State Warriors @ Milwaukee Bucks

A marquee matchup that is unfortunately missing some stars, but the biggest names are still there and the Bucks’ star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, is going to carry a large load.

I expect this to be closely fought, so Giannis will push into more minutes and I think he drops a huge night on the Draymond Green-less Warriors.

His points line is 30.5 and over is paying $1.95 on TAB. That’s what I’ll take.

Even without Jrue Holiday, I don’t expect Khris Middleton to be dishing as many assists as the market suggests.

He has had 20 assists in his last two games, but the three before that garnered just 11 combined. The line is set at 6.5 and I will go under that, for $1.76 on Sportsbet.

Best bet: Player points - Antetokounmpo over 30.5

Best bet: Player assists - Middleton under 6.5
