NBA 2021: Best bets for all the biggest games on Wednesday
Back to back 3-2 days is a good start to the week.
Let’s see if we can do better on a four-game slate.
Miami Heat @ Detroit Pistons
As with every game on Wednesday, there are injury concerns here. PJ Tucker, Bam Adebayo and Duncan Robinson are all questionable for the Heat.
That’s a pretty big deal, but luckily they are playing the Pistons, who we know are without Isaiah Stewart.

BANNED: LeBron James and Isaiah Stewart suspended over bloody melee
If Bam plays, Detroit has no answer, and even without him, Dewayne Dedmon could feast.
The Pistons are nine-point favourites, but I think that is too generous.
I also like Kyle Lowry’s assist prop, set at 6.5 for $1.67 on Sportsbet.
Last time we missed on Cade Cunnginham’s points over, because he shot 11% from three. So, now let’s go again. It’s $1.91 to go over 15.5 points.
Best bet: Handicap betting - Heat -9
Best bet: Player assists - Lowry over 6.5
Best bet: Player points - Cunningham over 15.5
LA Clippers @ Dallas Mavericks
Luka Dončić remains questionable, but it does seem as though he is leaning towards playing.
It’s risky, but I’ll assume he is playing in this game and therefore target the guys who benefitted with him out.
Let’s go to Tim Hardaway. He is a streak shooter who benefitted from more usage without Dončić.
His points/assist combo on Sportsbet is set at 18.5, but I like the under for $1.82
Best bet: Player points/assists - Hardaway under 18.5
Denver Nuggets @ Portland Trail Blazers
Unfortunately, we don’t know if Nikola Jokić is playing.
He has a history of destroying Jusuf Nurkić, so Jokić’s points over and Nurkić’s under would be good, but instead, I’m looking at CJ McCollum.
He has had at least five assists in five of his last six games, yet it is plus odds for him to go over 4.5 today.
On TAB, it’s $2.25 to hit the over.
Best bet: Player assists - McCollum over 4.5
