We begin Week 5 in the NBA with a semi-busy day and the absence of superstar Damian Lillard.

There is some value out there.

Phoenix Suns @ Houston Rockets

Chris Paul has been excellent this season, but he hasn’t been doing it with his scoring.

With this game looming as a blowout, I think Paul may see his minutes reduced and he will defer a little more to get teammates involved.

His points over-under is at 15.5 for $1.87 at TAB and I like that under.

I also think the Suns, who are playing the NBA’s best team in their current win streak, even without Deandre Ayton, will win by double digits.

They are only 8.5 point favourites against a one-win team. They should cover.

Best bet: Player points - Paul under 15.5 Points

Best bet: Handicap betting - Suns -8.5

Portland Trail Blazers @ Denver Nuggets

Nikola Jokić has been dominating this season. Yet, his points prop is at 25.5 points.

He has historically done well against former teammate Jusuf Nurkić and I think he goes over here.

It’s $1.85 at TAB.

Best bet: Player points - Jokić over 25.5 Points

Milwaukee Bucks @ Atlanta Hawks

Giannis Antetokounmpo should return from an ankle injury for this game after surprisingly sitting out last game and both of these teams have strong offences.

The game total is quite low as a result of both teams failing to hit their over in more than half of their games this season.

Milwaukee has gone under just four times this season. I think the total reaction has gone too far, so I like going over 220.5 for $1.90 on TAB.

Best bet: Total points - Over 220.5

Brooklyn Nets @ Oklahoma City Thunder

This is another game where the total looks appealing.

The Thunder have struggled to get to 110 points at any point this season, and while the Nets have a great offence on paper, it hasn’t really been at that level so far.

So, a total of 216.5 on Sportsbet looks like one to go under for me.

Best bet: Total points - Under 216.5
