NBA 2021: Best bets for all the biggest games on Friday
Wednesday was pretty solid to maintain a hot start to the NBA season.
We have an unusually busy Friday to look at here.
New York Knicks @ Chicago Bulls
The Bulls are undefeated. They are rolling, but they have played the Pistons twice without Cade Cunningham, the Pelicans without Zion Williamson, and beat the Raptors without Pascal Siakam, almost surrendering a 20 point lead in that game.
They have been good, but I’m not sure they are the world beaters their record may suggest.

BRUTAL: NBA commentator slammed over Josh Giddey call
I am a little surprised to see that I can get the Knicks as 1.5 point underdogs at TAB.
I think the Knicks win outright, so the $2.00 odds at TAB are great for me.
Best bet: Outright betting - Knicks to win $2.00
Atlanta Hawks @ Washington Wizards
The Wizards have ruled out Daniel Gafford and I don’t think the market has realised how important that is.
John Collins and Clint Capela won’t have much opposition down low, while I don’t think Trae Young will be scared of Montrezl Harrell protecting the rim.
The Hawks are only 2.5 point favourites and I say they win this one comfortably.
I also like Clint Capela’s points market, which is just 10.5. He should go over ($1.80 on Sportsbet).
Best bet: Handicap betting - Hawks -2.5
Best bet: Player points - Capela over 10.5 Points
Detroit Pistons @ Philadelphia 76ers
There is only one winless team left and that’s Detroit.
At this point, both Jerami Grant and Joel Embiid are still questionable and I think there has to be some doubt about Embiid playing here, given he’s been questionable every game with his sore knee.
Regardless, Philadelphia has not been inspiring and I think the Pistons can at least keep it close enough, given the 10.5 point margin ($1.90 at TAB)
Best bet: Handicap betting - Pistons +10.5
Memphis Grizzlies @ Golden State Warriors
The Warriors remain undefeated and Memphis is coming in after an embarrassing defeat in Portland.
Golden State are six point favourites, but I actually think the Grizz can beat them straight up.
I’m not that confident that I will ignore the six points I am being offered, but if you want a nice multiplier, Grizzlies to win would work.
Best bet: Handicap betting - Grizzlies +6
