NBA 2021: Best bets for the big games on Friday
Let’s get back to the NBA after a down day yesterday. Only three games on today, including a banged up Bucks team, so let’s dig into some value.
Dallas Mavericks @ Atlanta Hawks
This is the first time we are seeing these guys in action and it is hard to pick them based on the line set (Hawks -2), so I’m looking at a couple of player props. With Danilo Gallinari out, it opens up some more minutes for their wings, including De’Andre Hunter. Sportsbet has Hunter’s points line at just 13.5 points, so I will take that over for $1.93. Clint Capela is a prestigious rebounder. At first glance, 12.5 rebounds is a big line to clear, but I think big Clint can push towards 15 matched with Kristaps Porziņģis and Dwight Powell. And the odds are great at Sportsbet as well, coming in at $2.03.
Best Bet: Player Points - De'Andre Hunter Over 13.5 points
Best Bet: Player Rebounds - Clint Capela Over 12.5 rebounds
Milwaukee Bucks @ Miami Heat
With the news that Brook Lopez and Jrue Holiday are both out, along with Bobby Portis, the line swung from Bucks -2.5 to Heat -2.5. That’s a big deal. The Bucks are great and have Giannis, but their big man depth is atrocious for this game. I think Miami will get the better of them here and it may not be that close.
Best Bet: Handicap Betting - Miami -2.5
LA Clippers @ Golden State Warriors
We know the Clippers are without Kawhi Leonard, but they are also missing Serge Ibaka and Nic Batum for this matchup, while Marcus Morris Sr. is allegedly on a minutes limit. The Warriors return home after beating the Lakers on Wednesday and the line feels soft, having the Warriors favoured by just 3 points ($1.90) at Ladbrokes.
Best bet: Handicap Betting - Warriors -3
