NBA 2021: Best bets for all the biggest games on Friday

Cade Cunningham, pictured here in action for the Detroit Pistons.

One Harrison Barnes rebound away from a perfect 6-0 day yesterday, but 5-1 gets the job done.

Now we navigate a tricky four-game slate.

Philadelphia 76ers @ Brooklyn Nets

The Sixers should beat Brooklyn, but given how poor they were yesterday and it’s a back-to-back, I have doubt creeping in.

That’s why I am looking at the total.

FANTASY BASKETBALL: Waiver wire options for Week 9 of NBA

The Sixers should be tired. Joel Embiid could sit at any moment, and the Nets are relying on Kevin Durant and Kessler Edwards to get the job done. The total is 216.5.

Tyrese Maxey had a huge game yesterday, so my inclination is to fade him scoring like that again. His points line is 18.5 and going under pays $1.83 on Sportsbet

Best bet: Game total - under 216.5

Best bet: Player points - Maxey under 18.5

New York Knicks @ Houston Rockets

It’s easy to bash Evan Fournier, but a rebound line of 2.5 seems too low.

Getting at least three rebounds pays $2.20 on TAB.

I’m also looking at Cade Cunningham and his assists. The line is 5.5 and I think he goes under it. It pays $1.69 on Sportsbet.

Best bet: Player rebounds - Fournier over 2.5

Best bet: Player assists - Cunningham under 5.5

Washington Wizards @ Phoenix Suns

The Wizards are garbage and they are on a back-to-back.

The only saving grace for them is they are going to be without Spencer Dinwiddie, who feels like he is points shaving at this point.

Phoenix has no Devin booker, but they are also awesome and should pulverise Washington.

The line is nine points on TAB.

Best bet: Handicap betting - Suns -9
