Bentley cops scary puncture at fastest point of Bathurst

A Bentley driver has escaped a scary moment in the Bathurst 12 Hour race, suffering a blown tyre at one of the fastest points of Mount Panorama.

Maxime Soulet was behind the wheel of Bentley Team M-Sport's Continental GT3 when disaster struck in the Chase.

The Belgian somehow managed to avoid ploughing into the two rivals ahead but his race was still over.

Soulet found the gravel and the safety car was deployed.

Many drivers found the walls around Mount Panorama in the first several hours of the race -- some even found each other.
