Davison's epic save avoids 200km/h Bathurst crash

Supercars driver Will Davison saved himself from a monumental crash on top of Mount Panorama at a Bathurst 12 Hour practice session.

The two-time Bathurst 1000 winner is driving for Belgian outfit Audi Sport Team WRT, paired with a Brazilian, an Austrian and a Canadian.

And as you can see in the video player above, he avoided an event-ending catastrophe when he avoided the wall -- and two rival drivers -- after spinning at 200 kilometres per hour as he prepared to descend the mountain.

Davison controlled his Audi R8 LMS perfectly to turn 720 degrees, straighten up and continue down the Dipper.
