Mayhem on the track as NASCAR trucks collide

Multiple cars crashed out of NASCAR’s Camping World Truck series after a wild pile up at the Talladega Super Speedway.

The crash took place during the 59th lap of the Coca-Cola 250 after driver Ben Rhodes drifted into the barricades, kick-starting a domino effect of crashes.

Rhodes was clipped by fellow driver Timothy Peters sending his Toyota skittling into the field, causing a huge blockage on the track.

It’s just a shame that it ended that way,” Rhodes told nascar.com, who was coming third at the time of the crash.

“I just felt a huge shove from the rear and I had no way of controlling it.”

Only a few cars managed to avoid the carnage, with 10 vehicles retiring and five drivers requiring medical attention for non-life threatening injuries.
