Tander sends Coulthard into the wall at 265km/h

Garth Tander has sent Fabian Coulthard into the wall at 265km/h after clipping the the back of his opponents car in the Gold Coast 600.

The pair were battling for fifth place when the incident occurred on the front straight.

Both drivers blamed the other after the ugly incident from which Coulthard was lucky to walk away unscathed.

Stewards eventually found Tander guilty of reckless driving.

Tander was surprised at the penalty, saying Coulthard shared some of the blame for moving across the front of his car.
