Lucky escape for riders as fireball erupts after dramatic crash

Four riders have walked away unharmed after a fiery crash during a motorcycle race in Spain.

The dramatic scenes unfolded on the opening lap of the Moto2 class event at Spain’s Motorland Aragon, as Xavi Cardelus lost control of his bike after coming out of a turn.

The vehicle then flipped across the track and into the path of several other competitors, before a massive fireball erupted as the bikes collided with one another.

The red flag was flown immediately, with all riders except Cardelus eventually able to resume the race.

There were no reports of major injuries.
