Motherwell 0-1 Aberdeen: What Kettlewell said

Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell: "I did think we were due something in the game. I'm not saying we were miles better and should've won, but I think it descends into a little bit of a farce when you see the incidents.

"I said to the players we take ownership for our performance, but that doesn't stop me from looking at some of the incidents in this game and how silly this is all becoming.

"We had an incident earlier in the season against Ross County. We were told unequivocally at that point because it wasn't the guy who scored the goal who handballed it, that stands and that counts.

"I would love someone to tell me what the difference is today. We're not getting any level of consistency (with VAR).

"That brings me to the last incident of the game. Graeme Shinnie's arm is outstretched from his body, quite clearly hits it. You're seeing those given as penalties every week.

"Do I think it's harsh? 100%. But that's what's been given as a penalty consistently."
