Mooney targets World Cup under 'exciting' Bellamy

FAW chief executive Noel Mooney says Craig Bellamy is an “exciting appointment” as Wales manager.

Speaking for the first time since Bellamy replaced Rob Page in charge, Mooney says the goal is to qualify and compete at major tournaments starting with the 2026 World Cup.

Bellamy’s first game as Wales boss is against Turkey in the Nations League at the Cardiff City Stadium next month.
