Green's brutal reality check for Mundine

Moments after Anthony Mundine quit the jungle, Danny Green dropped a few truth bombs about the possibility of a third fight between the rival boxers.

Among his reasons for walking out of 'I'm a Celeb' on Thursday night, Mundine said if he stayed in the jungle too much longer he might become 'boys' with Green.

The prospect of getting too chummy with Green made Mundine worried that he wouldn't feel the same hatred towards his rival if and when they stepped into the ring together for the third time.

The Aussie boxing veterans are 1-1 against each other, with Mundine winning back in 2006, before Green got revenge in 2016.

And last year's loss is clearly weighing on Mundine's mind, with The Man hell-bent on hitting back and breaking the 1-1 tie.

But after Mundine walked out on his fellow 'celebs' on Thursday, Green put any thoughts of a third fight to bed, saying he couldn't put his family through another bout in the ring.

"He's just got to get over it," Green said.

"Now is the time for my kids and my family, not for fighting.

"They've been through everything with me, they've sat back and been so supportive.

"And now it's time for them."

Green also paid a classy tribute to Mundine, opening up about the respect they have for each other despite their public feud that's been going on for 17 years.

"I've always had respect for 'Choc'...and I know he respects me," he said.

"We've got a lot of respect for each other.

"It just frustrates me when he disrespects me on what I've done.

"But without him, my career probably wouldn't be as fulfilling or successful, and same with his."

Mundine took to social media on Wednesday to reveal that his stint on the reality TV show was coming to an end.

"It was an incredible experience but I miss my family and feel like I have accomplished everything I wanted to do," Mundine wrote.

"I did all but one of the trials (which I couldn’t compete in because of my foot) and met some great people and went out with a bang on an epic trial that you will see tonight."

On Thursday night, as Mundine alluded to, the program aired a clip of the boxer confiding in actor Kerry Armstrong about why he decided to pull the pin.

"I'm struggling man. I just miss my kids," Mundine revealed.

"I tried but I've been struggling since I come (sic) in but I've been trying to just fight it out, you know.

"But I'm always there for them."
