Fighters mock McGregor over bizarre workout video

Perhaps the biggest takeaway from Conor McGregor’s Friday workout in advance of his boxing match with Floyd Mayweather on August 26 was the techniques the Irishman put on display.

With most already considering the UFC lightweight champion as a massive underdog, some were surprised (and entertained) by the things McGregor did in preparation.

Cameras captured McGregor’s unconventional techniques, which quickly went viral, and has now spawned an online challenge where fighters mock McGregor’s arm-flailing warmup.

The McGregor Challenge has been carried out by the likes of Terence Crawford, Gilbert Smith and others, who have been having a bit of fun at the expense of the brash Irishman.

The effectiveness of McGregor’s training has been up for debate as some find his techniques as terribly flawed while others refuse to question how he trains considering that he’s the only fighter in UFC history to hold world titles in two different weight classes simultaneously.
