UFC debutant KOs opponent with sickening body slam

Galore Bofando has produced one of the most brutal knockouts of the year in his debut fight at UFC Fight Night 113 in Glasgow.

Bofando appeared to be pinned to the Octagon wall by Charlie Ward, until the debutant showed some incredible strength to throw his opponent off him.

Ward's body got twisted as he headed for the canvas, and he inadvertantly faceplanted, resulting in a sickening sound as his head hit the mat.

Bofando followed up with a volley of punches, but the damage had been done and the referee immediately called the fight off.

The brutal knockout thankfully brings some attention back to the in-ring action, amid the Conor Mcgregor and Floyd Mayweather madness.
