Tyson Fury's ludicrous Mayweather-McGregor prediction

There's been some strange things said in the lead up to the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight, but Tyson Fury looks to have taken the cake.

Former heavyweight champion Fury has backed McGregor to knock out Mayweather inside 35 seconds in their blockbuster bout.

Mayweather is coming out of retirement in search of a 50th win from as many professional fights and is an overwhelming favourite but Fury believes McGregor will stop the 40-year-old American in emphatic fashion.

"I think McGregor will knock him out inside the first 35 seconds like he did to Jose Aldo, to be honest," Fury told IFL TV. "I think McGregor will do him in one round.

"Come on McGregor!

"It would be good for boxing if McGregor chinned him. It would be great for the real people of the world."

Much has been made of the cross-combat fight but Fury joked: "I am going to call out Hulk Hogan next.

"We are going to get a fight on - me and the old Hulk.

"Hulk Hogan - I am going to get him out there and we are going to have a big pay-per-view fight."
