Correia's classy response to Holm KO

Bethe Correia has shown true class after her stunning defeat to Holly Holm at UFC Fight Night 111.

The Brazilian was knocked out in Singapore by a Holm head kick that brought back memories of the one that stopped Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 in 2015.

INSTANT KARMA: Correia taunts Holm before being KO'd

Despite her disappointment, Correia took to Instagram after the fight to issue a gracious response to the emphatic loss.

"I want to congratulate Holly for the fight," Correia said in the post.

"Even though she was coming from three losses she did not quit and hide, and she fought me on the main event.

"I want to thank all my fans, partners and team. I will not return with the victory I dreamed of, but I return with my head held high with a dream to fight in Asia realized and being a protagonist of the night.

"A dream a lot of people have but never realized.

"I can only say this to my fans that like Bethe Correia: I WILL BE BACK STRONGER THAN EVER! YOU CAN BE SURE OF IT!"

The pair got off to a slow start with barely any contact in the first two rounds, prompting boos from the Singapore Indoor Stadium crowd.

Responding to a taunt in Round 3, Holm delivered the head kick that sent Correia crashing to the canvas and finished her opponent off with a punch.

"I picked the shot I wanted and got the finish... We figured she would get frustrated and that's what opened up the opportunity for the head kick," Holm said in an interview after the fight.

Since her upset of Rousey, Holm has also struggled, losing her subsequent three bouts.

She previously had an unblemished 10-0 record in MMA.
