Kimbo Slice's son gets first pro MMA win in brutal fashion

Kevin Ferguson Jr, the son of late UFC legend Kimbo Slice, has won his first professional MMA fight with a brutal first round knockout.

'Baby Slice' took on DJ Griffin at Bellator 179 on Saturday and set about emulating his iconic father.

Ferguson was clearly the better fighter in the opening fight of the main card, using a flurry of big punches to end the bout by TKO just 3:40 into the first round.

Griffin looked like he was managing to protect himself from a brutal onslaught, but the referee saw the writing on the wall and called an end to proceedings.

Ferguson is now 1-1 after losing his first professional fight to Aaron Hamilton in November.

"My dad was going to fight here so this is much respect to him," Ferguson said after his win.

"This fight was for him. I love you Pops, I knew you were with me in this cage."

Kimbo Slice died last June of heart failure at age 42.
