Inside Mundine's bizarre preparation for Green rematch

Anthony Mundine has taken 7News behind the scenes ahead of his much-anticipated rematch with arch-rival Danny Green.

Just days out from the biggest fight of his life, the training sessions look like torture.

CONTROVERSY: Mundine won't stand for 'racist' national anthem

He's put through his paces by Roy Jones - father of American great Roy Jones Jr - mastermind behind Mundine's first victory over Green in 2006.

'The Man' says he's ready to beat Green again.

"I think about it every night before I go to bed, for the last six months," he said.

"So you can imagine what he's thinking as well."

Green is favoured to make amends for his 2006 loss, with the 83kg catchweight to work to his advantage - he could be four kilograms heavier than his rival on fight night.

Green will put on up to two kilograms after Thursday's weigh-in and box at around 85kg, while expecting Mundine to be around 81kg.

Mundine took a unanimous points decision in their 2006 fight, contested at 76.2kg.
