UFC star's stunning mid-fight McGregor sledge

Khabib Nurmagomedov wasn't even fighting Conor McGregor at UFC 205 but he still managed to take a mid-fight shot at the dual champion.

The No.1 contender for McGregor's lightweight title monstered Michael Johnson in New York, but his mind was clearly on the Irishman.

WHITE: Mayweather wouldn't stand a chance against McGregor

UFC boss Dana White revealed during the post-fight press conference that Nurmagomedov demanded a title shot in between rounds during his fight.

A new video released by the UFC on Friday shows Nurmagomedov talking trash about McGregor to White, who was sitting just a few feet away.

"Hey, be careful. I'm gonna smash your boy," Nurmagomedov said to White between rounds.

"Just get through this first," White responded.

Nurmagomedov then turned his attention back to Johnson as he pummelled him on the ground.

"You have to give up. I need to fight for the title. You know this. I deserve it," Nurmagomedov said in between blows.

After the fight Nurmagomedov called McGregor a 'chicken' and promised to smash the Irishman if they ever got into the cage together.
