Fighter pulverised after referee somehow fails to stop fight

MMA fighter Casey Greene found himself on the end of a brutal pummeling after a referee’s inexplicable decision not to stop his fight against Thongchai Sitsongpeenong.

The American was totally outclassed by the Muay Thai sensation, who hit him with a succession of kicks, knees and punches to the head.

Greene tried to remain on his feet but it was obvious that he’d been dealt a telling blow as he stumbled, swayed and crashed to the canvas.

The contest really should have been stopped there and then, with the Thai fighter even throwing his arms into the air in victory.

But after asking a clearly groggy Greene if he wanted to continue, the referee made his first questionable call by allowing the American to take another battering.

Down he went again and everyone watching, including the men in Greene’s corner, assumed that this time the fight was going to be stopped.

But again the referee allowed the American to get up, although this time he was knocked down for good, following a vicious left hook to the head.

Unsurprisingly, the referee was slammed for his decision to allow the fight to continue for as long as it did, and put Greene’s health in serious jeopardy.

“That was craziness. “It looked like the ringside doctor was saying to stop that fight,” one of the commentators proclaimed.
