Rogan reveals McGregor's next opponent

Conor McGregor will likely fight for a title in a different weight division after Joe Rogan revealed his next fight will be against Eddie Alvarez at lightweight.

Rogan revealed the proposed bout at UFC 205 in New York during his podcast this week.

"I know a little something that I wish I could tell," Rogan said to former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub.

"It’s an interesting fight. If it happens ... allegedly at Madison Square Garden ... allegedly in a couple of months. Maybe it’s going to happen, I don’t know ...

"But if it does happen, Eddie is a big boy. He can grapple. He’s a f***ing grinder and whatever endurance issues Conor may have, he better iron those f***ers out before you go to town with that guy."

Alvarez won the 155-pound lightweight division back in July after upsetting Rafael dos Anjos.

Immediately after that victory he called out McGregor.

"I would ask Dana White to give me an easier fight like Conor McGregor," Alvarez said.

"I deserve that, I’ve been fighting the best guys, so I would like a gimme fight, so Conor, I more than welcome that."
