The Lesnar news that will infuriate Hunt

Brock Lesnar is likely to have his suspension for testing positive to prohibited substances reduced, in news that will infuriate the man he defeated at UFC 200, Mark Hunt.

The controversial heavyweight was expected to be banned from the UFC for two years - but now will more likely face a maximum one year ban because the drugs he tested positive to are considered 'specified substances' under the World Anti-Doping Agency Code.

UFC SUBSTANCE SCANDAL: Lesnar receives punishment, prohibited substances revealed

The WADA code states that, "there is a greater likelihood that these (specified) substances could be susceptible to a credible non-doping explanation."

WADA accepts that it's likely these substances could enter the athlete's body inadvertently, "and therefore allow a tribunal more flexibility when making a sanctioning decision."

Athletes testing positive to a 'specified substance' can receive as little as a public warning for the indiscretion.

USADA is yet to announce what sanction it will place on Lesnar.

This news will infuriate Aussie heavyweight Mark Hunt, who lost to Lesnar at UFC 200 via unanimous decision.

Lesnar failed drug tests before and on the day of that fight, leading to Hunt threatening to quit the UFC if Lesnar wasn't punished properly and he didn't receive a share of his winning purse.
