Boxer in epic knockout celebration fail

A New Zealand boxer has made a fool out of himself after unsuccessfully trying to celebrate a first round knockout of his opponent.

Jordan "The Terror" Tai had just floored 'Smokin' Joe Blackburn to take his professional record to 8-1 when he decided to run towards the crowd and jump onto the ropes in celebration.

But the Super Middleweight slugger miscalculated his leap and ended up tripping over the ropes and falling flat on his face outside the ring.

The embarrassment continued when his opponent actually beat the count and decided to box on, meaning Tai’s embarrassing celebration was also premature.

Not to be dismayed, Tai managed to swiftly dispatch Blackburn when he rose from the canvas, in an ultimately fruitless attempt to save some face.
