MK Dons have made their 13th summer signing, bringing in midfielder Kane Thompson-Sommers from National League club FC Halifax Town.

The Dons have paid an undisclosed fee for the 23-year-old, who made 31 appearances for the Shaymen last season.

Thompson-Sommers spent time in the academies at Tottenham Hotspur and Birmingham City earlier in his career.

"He brings a real physical presence, he brings a willingness to run, but he can handle the ball and carry it really well," Dons boss Mike Williamson told the club website.

"He's a good age, we think he has a really high ceiling and he's ready to come in and impact the starting line-up."

Thompson-Sommers added: "Since I left Birmingham City as a kid, I've always wanted to get back into the EFL, so this move is a dream come true really."

MK Dons have taken three points from their first three League Two games of the season, having reached the play-offs last term.
