De Minaur bows out to Edmund in Estoril

Australian wildcard Alex de Minaur has been knocked out of the Estoril Open by Brit Kyle Edmund

Australian teenager Alex de Minaur has bowed out of the Estoril Open after a straight-sets defeat to Britain's Kyle Edmund in Portugal.

Third seed Edmund looked in complete control at a set and 4-2 up only for Brisbane International semi-finalist de Minaur, 19, who received a wildcard for the event, to win the next three games.

Edmund broke again to lead 6-5, however, and served out a 6-2 7-5 victory after an hour and 37 minutes.

The British No.1, who recently reached his first ATP Tour final on clay in Marrakech, is guaranteed to face a Portuguese opponent next, either Joao Sousa or Pedro Sousa.
