McLeish's wild journey to meet McTominay

He may be Scotland's goal machine now, but there was a time when there was uncertainty over whether Scott McTominay would turn out in front of the Tartan Army.

Determined to ensure he'd be racking up caps at Hampden rather than Wembley, then-Scotland boss Alex McLeish made the trip to Manchester to meet the midfielder.

What followed was a journey of being flung off trains, heavy snow and being told he was a no-show at the hotel.
