Gold Coast pair Steven May and Sam Day look set to miss their AFL club's trip to Shanghai to take on Port Adelaide due to suspension.
May, the Suns skipper, was charged with making intentional contact with an umpire and will go to the tribunal on Monday night, while Day has been issued a week off for striking Neville Jetta.
Given the precedent shown in Tom Hawkins' one-week ban for touching an umpire last week, May is unlikely to partake in the marquee match.
The AFL expedited the match review process for the two clubs to allow them time to travel to China for the round nine match.
Carlton's Ed Curnow also touched an umpire in the Blues' drought-breaking win over Essendon, but is yet to learn his fate.
