Mathare United challenges players ahead of Ulinzi Stars tie

Mathare United head coach Francis Kimanzi has challenged his players to up their game whenever they face opponents in the league.

So far, the club has only won once and lost twice from the five matches and Kimanzi feels that his players have not done their best. He says that Mathare United can only do better if the players ‘avoid making silly mistakes and maintain their concentration’ during matches.

Posta Rangers identify weakness ahead of Sharks match

"There is no pressure to be felt just because we are facing Ulinzi Stars. Yes, they may be a big club, but we have lost twice already, to teams that people don’t consider to be “big”. If my players refuse to step up their performance in the game, then all opponents will be better than us. What is needed is for my players to avoid making silly mistakes and maintain their concentration. That way, we shall win matches. There are no longer any small teams in modern football," he told kpl.co.ke.

The ‘Slum Boys’ will play against Ulinzi Stars in their next match scheduled for Sunday at Afraha Stadium as from 3:00pm.
