Marvel fans have been discussing how they would improve the studio's recent content.

Since the release of the 2019 blockbuster Avengers: Endgame, it feels like the Marvel Cinematic Universe hasn't quite been the same as the franchise works to establish a new identity away from its core characters.

Curious to hear other opinions on the matter, one fan has started a conversation on Reddit, asking fellow Marvel fanatics what, if anything, they would change about the MCU.

Most fans seemed to agree that the MCU is in a bit of a slump right now, with responses asking for more content around the Blip — where half the universe was snapped out of existence — and its impact on survivors.

"Phase 4 should have a been all about the effects of the blip," one fan wrote, pointing out that the impact of Thanos' devastating finger snap was barely explored.

"Address the blip in each project," another user wrote, adding: "Losing half the world's population for 5 years would have such a massive and lasting effect that some projects completely ignore."

Responses also highlighted the speed at which Marvel has been introducing characters, noting that it's often difficult to keep up with so many new faces and storylines.

"Slow down on so many new characters. It's just ridiculous that we won't see Shang-Chi again for probably 4-5 years," one fan argued.

Another commented: "My main complaint is with so many new characters, very few of them have had any follow up so far. They should have had some sort of culminating story, even if it’s just an earthbound team-up or a cosmic team-up."

Diversity in Marvel content also came up, as one fan argued that every story didn't need to be about saving the world from an apocalypse.

"Quality over quantity. Go back to only releasing a couple of really good stuff in a year," they wrote. "More diverse content. Not necessarily action-laden stuff. More content like WandaVision, Ms Marvel, Loki and Moon Knight."

Regardless of fan opinion, it doesn't seem like Marvel will be slowing down anytime soon, with projects such as Secret Invasion and Fantastic Four bringing plenty more characters onto our screens.
